Oncidium orchids grow well under medium light. However certain hybrids from Thailand can even grown in bright indirect light. Learn more about light here

 Watering

Please be careful with the watering as the Sphagnum moss medium retains too much moisture. The medium could take up to a week to dry. Other medium like Pine bark dries within 1 or 2 days. Medium may dry faster or slower depending on the weather conditions. So always touch and feel the medium, only when partially dry water the plant.  Learn more about watering here

Fertilizing

Weekly once with Bio-20 or Basfoliar 19:19:19 for growth and rooting. Once a month with Basfoliar 13-40-13. Learn more about fertilizing here

Description

Burr. Barrocco Red is a hybrid orchid, This odontoglossum is a visually striking orchid plant that produces an abundance of smaller flowers. Its compact size and playful purple and white flowers give it the appearance of a bouquet. The flowers also emit a subtle fragrance and typically bloom for six weeks. Keep the Cambria orchid in a well-lit area, but avoid direct sunlight. Watering once a week should be adequate. These oncidiums are happy when grown in cooler climatic conditions.

Burrageara like to be situated in a bright, indirect location, as shady areas will dramatically increase the risk of soil mould and root rot. Maintain evenly moist soil, allowing the top third to dry out in between hydrations. Reduce waters over the autumn and winter to replicate its dormancy period.

Burrageara is an intergeneric hybrid created in 1927 by American botanist, Alfred Burrage, whom the genus was named after; its parent plants are CochliodaMiltoniaOdontoglossum and Oncidium (Cda. × Milt. × Odm. × Onc.). This means that there are no species of Burrageara grown naturally in the wild and therefore are a wholly domestically grown Orchid.
