 Watering

Vandaceous plants require daily watering and in the summer probably twice a day. Spray the water on the roots until the grey roots turns green. You can also soak the roots once in a week with fertilizer water, if the plants appear dehydrated.  Learn more about watering here

Description

Vanda Somsri Glory Blue is a hybrid vanda orchid plant. This orchid is a nice blue color. Perhaps one of the true blue of the Vanda hybrids. Flowers have slight tessellation. Very striking color. One of the vanda orchids that is always in demand. 

These orchids are all epiphytic. They do not like any potting medium. Vanda orchids must not be allowed to dry out entirely. Watering of this vandaceous species must be done with care to prevent water from remaining in the crowns (top leafs), a condition that can cause crown rot. Watering should be regular, every day, allow the roots to dry a bit between watering.
