Vandaceous plants require daily watering and in the summer probably twice a day. Spray the water on the roots until the grey roots turns green. You can also soak the roots once in a week with fertilizer water, if the plants appear dehydrated.  Learn more about watering here

Description

Vandachostylis Ploenpit Prize is a hybrid. The cross of two drastically different parents, a pure yellow vanda and a pink/white rhynchostyllis. the offspring is a beauty, Mango yellow coloured flowers with dark pink splashes on the petals & a dark pink lip. The flowers are waxy, bright & fragrant.

These orchids are all epiphytic. They do not like any potting medium. Vanda orchid roots must not be allowed to dry out entirely. Watering of this vandaceous species must be done with care to prevent water from remaining in the crowns (top leafs), a condition that can cause crown rot.
