Dendrobium Care Guide

Dendrobium orchids can be grown as indoor plants as long as they get a sufficient amount of light & air circulation.

  Light

This plant prefers bright indirect light, but can tolerate medium indirect light. Plants grown under ideal light will have apple green leaves and plants which are not getting enough light will have dark green leaves. Learn more about light here

 Watering

In Coconut Husk medium water retention is more compared to Pine Bark, so plants in Coconut Husk may require once in 2-3 days watering compared to 1-2 days watering in Pine Bark.  Medium may dry faster or slower depending on the weather conditions. So always touch and feel the medium, only when partially dry water the plant.  Learn more about watering here

Fertilizing

Fertilizing your orchid regularly provides it with the nutrients it needs for optimal health, immunity and vigorous blooming. Weekly once with Bio-20 or Basfoliar 19:19:19 for growth and rooting. Once a month with Basfoliar 13-40-13. Learn more about fertilizing here

Known universally as a perfect "beginner's orchid" due to its incredibly easy-to-grow and hardy nature, this resilient plant will reward you with lovely blooms, making it a luxurious, visually captivating statement piece for any home, bright office, or orchid collection.

✨ Key Features

  • Vibrant Color Palette: Showcases rich, saturated, and superb bright magenta to vibrant deep red flowers.

  • Elegant Flower Structure: The clustered blossoms are neatly arranged along long, graceful spikes to create a stunning inflorescence.

  • Epiphytic Nature: An epiphytic hybrid orchid designed to grow attached to a porous substrate rather than standard garden soil.

  • Fragrance-Free: This hybrid produces absolutely no scent, making it an excellent choice for allergen-sensitive spaces.

  • Perfect for Beginners: Rated as very easy to grow, it is highly recommended for novice growers stepping into the world of orchids.

🪴Care Guide

  • ☀️ Light & Placement: Thrives in bright, filtered indirect sunlight. Providing gentle morning sun helps boost its blooming potential, but avoid direct midday sun.

  • 💧 Watering Protocol: Water the plant well 2–3 times a week, or whenever the potting medium feels mostly dry. Always allow the medium to dry out a bit between waterings, and ensure no standing water remains to prevent root rot.

  • 🪵 Potting Media: Functions best in highly porous, open mixes such as premium coconut husk chips or coarse charcoal.

  • 🌬️ Air Circulation: Requires open, airy spaces with consistent air movement to protect its healthy root system and cane structures from fungal rot.
