Encyclia fragrans now called as Prosthechea fragrans is a species orchid native to Jamaica's cooler west central mountains and tropical regions from Mexico to Brazil. This plant produces a cluster of 1" fragrant flowers in ivory white with purple radiant stripes on the lip, blooming twice yearly in spring and fall. The sweetly scented blooms emit a rich aroma reminiscent of honey and vanilla. Grow in Cattleya light conditions and water as the mix approaches dryness. Flowers last well and are ideal for orchid enthusiasts seeking both visual appeal and captivating fragrance.
