Phalaenopsis Care Guide

Phalaenopsis orchids can be grown as indoor plants as long as they get a sufficient amount of light & air circulation.

  Light

This plant prefers bright indirect light, but can tolerate medium indirect light. Flowering require bright indirect light. Learn more about light here

 Watering

Please be careful with the watering as the Sphagnum moss medium retains too much moisture. The medium could take up to a week to dry. Other medium like Pine bark dries within 1 or 2 days. Medium may dry faster or slower depending on the weather conditions. So always touch and feel the medium, only when partially dry water the plant.  Learn more about watering here

Fertilizing

Weekly once with Bio-20 or Basfoliar 19:19:19 for growth and rooting. Once a month with Basfoliar 13-40-13. Learn more about fertilizing here

Description

Meet the ultimate showstopper of your indoor orchid collection: Phalaenopsis Lianher Wax Fouse! This striking hybrid bursts with vibrant red-coral and hot pink-magenta blooms that command attention from every angle. Featuring a modern, thick-textured waxy structure and an eye-catching "Big Lip" mutation, it is an extraordinary conversation starter that proves hybrid vigor can be genuinely breathtaking.

🌸 Flower Specialties

  • Vibrant Red-Coral & Hot Magenta Hues: Displays stunning, saturated red-coral to radiant hot pink-magenta blossoms with a subtle, contrasting yellow accent deep within the column.

  • Unique "Big Lip" Mutation: Features a flat, exaggerated "big lip" (labellum) where the bottom petal mimics the shape and size of the upper petals, creating a full, balanced, and geometric presentation.

  • Waxy Texture & Long Lifespan: Boasts a thick, smooth, and waxy petal structure that helps retain moisture, allowing individual blooms to remain pristine for months.

  • Showstopping Appeal: A fresh and exciting addition to the phalaenopsis family, perfect as a statement gift or a luxurious personal treat.

🌿 Comprehensive Care Guide

  • Light & Positioning: Thrives in bright, indirect sunlight (ideal near an east-facing window or protected by a sheer curtain from harsh afternoon rays) with good air circulation. Avoid direct midday sun to prevent leaf scorching.

  • Watering Strategy: Exercise care since the potting media can retain moisture. Touch and feel the medium—water only when partially dry (typically taking a week to 10 days depending on weather). If in a clear pot, check the roots: green roots mean hydrated, while silvery-grey roots indicate it's time for a drink.

  • Temperature: Prefers comfortable indoor conditions between 18°C and 28°C (65°F–82°F). To stimulate a brand-new flower spike in late autumn, the plant benefits from a mild drop in nighttime temperatures for a few weeks.

Kindly note, the orchid images presented here capture blooms nurtured under optimal conditions. Variations in appearance can and do occur as a response to environmental conditions, most notably factors such as ambient temperature, the type of fertilizer used, and light exposure. We sincerely appreciate your understanding that each orchid bloom is unique, reflecting its own individual beauty that may differ from the sample images shown.
