Phalaenopsis Care Guide

Phalaenopsis orchids can be grown as indoor plants as long as they get a sufficient amount of light & air circulation.

  Light

This plant prefers bright indirect light, but can tolerate medium indirect light. Flowering require bright indirect light. Learn more about light here

 Watering

Please be careful with the watering as the Sphagnum moss medium retains too much moisture. The medium could take up to a week to dry. Other medium like Pine bark dries within 1 or 2 days. Medium may dry faster or slower depending on the weather conditions. So always touch and feel the medium, only when partially dry water the plant.  Learn more about watering here

Fertilizing

Weekly once with Bio-20 or Basfoliar 19:19:19 for growth and rooting. Once a month with Basfoliar 13-40-13. Learn more about fertilizing here

Description

Zephyr & Terra - Breezy, celestial flowers paired with an earthy, grounded clay pot.

Introduce a masterpiece of natural art to your space with the Phalaenopsis Marble Galaxy! Famous for its dramatic, unevenly splashed "Harlequin" patterns, this striking orchid blooms for months at a time and is perfectly suited for beginner and expert growers alike. You will receive this beautiful table top orchid with a clay pot, perfect for your office table.

Flower Specialties

  • Unique Artistry: No two flowers are perfectly identical. The heavily spotted and marbled "Harlequin" phenotype results from a specific genetic mutation that distributes pigment unevenly across the petals.

  • Long-Lasting Blooms: A single flower spike can hold its blooms open for 2 to 3 months, providing significantly longer visual enjoyment than typical cut flowers.

  • Epiphytic Nature: In the wild, Phalaenopsis are air plants that grow anchored to tree bark rather than in soil. Their thick roots absorb moisture and light directly from the air.

🌿Care Guide

  • Light: Bright & Indirect. Place near an east-facing window or a shaded south/west window. Avoid direct afternoon sunlight to prevent scorched leaves.

  • Watering: The Root Check Method. Drench thoroughly only when the roots look silvery-gray through its clear pot. If roots are bright green, postpone watering. Never use ice cubes or let it sit in standing water.

  • Environment: Maintain standard household temperatures between 65°F to 80°F (18°C to 27°C). Protect from direct A/C or heater vents.

  • Humidity: Target a moderate 40% to 60% humidity level. Boost local air moisture easily using a pebble tray filled with water.

Kindly note, the orchid images presented here capture blooms nurtured under optimal conditions. Variations in appearance can and do occur as a response to environmental conditions, most notably factors such as ambient temperature, the type of fertilizer used, and light exposure. We sincerely appreciate your understanding that each orchid bloom is unique, reflecting its own individual beauty that may differ from the sample images shown.
