Seidenfadenia mitrata, a vandaceous species, is a visually distinctive and low-maintenance orchid. Found in Myanmar and Thailand at elevations of 100 to 800 meters as a small sized, hot to warm growing, epiphytic species. It flowers in the spring, with multiple spikes and up to fifteen 2 cm wide, fragrant blooms per spike. This plant is typically grown mounted and requires daily watering in warmer regions. It produces inflorescences from the base of its leaves during the spring season.
