Description
Trichocentrum Lanceanum Purple is a hybrid, a unique epiphytes from Ecuador, Colombia, Venezuela, the Guianias and Trinidad. They have thick, speckled foliage that grow in well-drained media. Flowers that are highly scented, with a delightful fragrance lasting for a few hours each day. Lance's Trichocentrum blooms in the summer and fall with fragrant, waxy, long-lasting, variable colored flowers. The flowers last for 4-5 weeks, if the plant is kept dry, and a strong spicy scent is felt even after the flower has dried.
It is sometimes referred to as the 'mule ear orchid'. Plants are mature sized, can have tiny red markings which are a genetic signature of this variety. Enjoy the beauty of this unique plant in your home or garden!
